Steps to update the patch:

• Login to Administrator
• Extract the zip file to a local folder
• Close ActCAD if it is alredy open
• Copy paste all contents to ActCAD Install Directory. Overwrite all files.

• Tools->Customize->Reset All (at the right bottom side of dialog box)

The IntelliCAD Technology Consortium (ITC) today announced the release of IntelliCAD 8.2.

IntelliCAD 8.2 is a major release that includes new support for exporting 3D .pdf files; more options added to existing features that export 2D .pdf files, export .bmp files, and attach underlays; new in-place multiline text editor; new support for maximizing and minimizing viewports; and various other new commands such as BCOUNT, IMAGEFRAMEMODE, FIELD, and TEXTTOFRONT. IntelliCAD 8.2 also includes improved performance when working with complex blocks, panning and zooming, exporting to .pdf files, and more.

IntelliCAD 8.2 is optionally available with the ability to open, save, create, and edit .dgn files in the native DGN format. IntelliCAD 8.2 also includes optional integration with Artisan Renderer to create photorealistic images of models quickly using a wide range of pre-set materials and lighting setups combined with the ability to create custom lights and realistic materials.

For IntelliCAD versions that include a ribbon, IntelliCAD 8.2 now includes ribbon panel expanders, ribbon versioning support, and the ability to customize the ribbon using the CUSTOMIZE command.

IntelliCAD 8.2 is supported on Microsoft® Windows® 10, Windows 8, Windows 7, and Windows Vista®, including 32-bit and 64-bit versions.

Text

• New multiline text editor allows you to edit multiline text in place. However, not all multiline text features are implemented in the new editor. To switch to the older dialog box version of the multiline text editor, set the MTEXTED system variable to "oldeditor".

Working with entities

• New dialog box for the REFEDIT command and new -REFEDIT command.
• New dialog box for the ARRAY command and new -ARRAY command.

Viewing and rendering drawings

• Users who previously used Ctrl + Left mouse click and drag to orbit the drawing should now use Shift + Middle mouse (or wheel) click and drag to orbit. Ctrl + Left mouse click and drag now supports the standard Windows copy selected entities feature. Simply Ctrl + Left mouse click and drag a selection to make a copy.
• New integration with Artisan Renderer for some versions of IntelliCAD allows you to create a photorealistic image of your model quickly using a wide range of pre-set materials and lighting setups combined with the ability to create custom lights and realistic materials.

Open Design Alliance (ODA) today announced the release of version 4.2 of Teigha, its development platform for engineering applications.

Teigha 4.2 contains geo data support for integrating maps and satellite imagery into .dwg drawing files. Clients can customize this support to work with popular online mapping services, and Teigha provides full rendering support for geo-integrated drawings.

Version 4.2 also introduces new support for visual styles, which provides client applications with the ability to fine-tune the display of edge and shading properties for 3d views.

“Teigha is widely used for visualization, and our new geo data support will enable a wide range of custom visualization solutions that integrate maps and other real-world imagery with drawing data,” commented Neil Peterson, ODA President.

Sergey Vishnevetsky, ODA Development Director, said, “Another new feature in Teigha 4.2 is the ability to export linearized PDF files. Linearized PDF enables faster viewing over the internet by allowing clients to download PDF data on demand, one page at a time.”
