It has a finite amount of detail which is dependant upon the image size and resolution. The more coarse it appears when you look at a raster image closely. If you magnify a raster image the pixels just get bigger, and you don't see any extra detail. A vector image is stored as geometric objects, such as lines and arcs, which are drawn between specific coordinates. If you magnify a vector image you see the lines more accurately, and the line edges stay smooth. Vector drawings are utilised in CAD (Computer Aided Design) and GIS (Geographical Information Systems) and other applications where accuracy is important. How to use Raster To Vector Converter in ACTCAD:

Select Raster to Vector from the Addons Menu ADDONS>>>Raster to Vector

Click on Open Image option from the File menu

Select the image file of the file fomats (.bmp, .tiff, .jpg, .gif, .png)

You can perform the editing operations of the image by eliminating some of the content of image using Eraser and draw some pixels with pen in the software

Click on One touch vectorization from the Vector menu

It will identify the pixels from the raster image and displayed it in a green color

Click on Save Vector As from the File menu and save the file in the required file format

You can save the following vector file in the different file formats like ( .dxf, .shp, .mif, .dat, .arc, .di, .csv, .wmf, .emf, .pdf)

Save the file in the dxf file format to open the saved file in the ACTCAD software using Open Command
